Annie was born on March 28, 1977, in the city of Saint Louis, Missouri, United States. She was born to parents Frank Wersching Jr. and Sandy Wersching. She went to Crossroads College Preparatory School in St. Louis’ Central West End, where she graduated in 1995. She participated in Irish dancing as a child and was a member of the St. Louis Celtic Step dancers. Millikin University awarded her a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre in 1999.

Annie Wersching is best recognized for her role as Agent Renee Walker on FOX’s 24 for the last two seasons. In the series, she was paired with actor Kiefer Sutherland. Wersching’s acting career began with a guest appearance on Star Trek: Enterprise, and she has since gone on to guest star in programs including Charmed, Killer Instinct, Supernatural, and Cold Case. She has a recurring role as Amelia Joffe in the ABC Daytime serial series General Hospital from March to November 2007.
