Annie completed her high school graduation from Wylie E Groves High School in Beverly Hills in 2012. She later went on to pursue college and attended Ohio State University for one year and later transferred to Auburn University. Annie graduated in the year 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She was also part of the college swim team.

Annie started her career as a swimmer in high school where she was part of the school team. She kept training and went on to pursue college-level swimming at Ohio State University. She participated in the Ohio state title in 2012 in her freshman year and stood at the 8th position. After freshman season, she transferred to Auburn University where she earned the NCAA “b” cuts in 100m and 200m breaststroke events. In 2014, her Junior year, she earned 2 All-American titles at the NCAA championship, and in the 2015-16 season, she finished at the 13th position as a senior. The same year, she also competed at the Pan American Games and finished 3rd winning her first-ever International medal. she also participated in the 2016 Olympic trials but could not qualify. She then started working in the admin position under Coach Dave Durden.
In 2018, she made a comeback and competed in the USA nationals where her performance earned her qualification to the 2019 Pan American Games where she won two golds in 100m and 200m breaststroke, and also led the team to win gold at 4 x100m medley. Meanwhile, in 2018, she also attended the Short Course World Championships as a part of the US national team in Hangzhou where she won in a 200m breaststroke event. Recently in 2021 she competed in the Tokyo Olympic 2020 trials and won in the 200m breaststroke event finals qualifying in the US national team for Tokyo. She is set to represent the USA in the 200m breaststroke women’s event marking her first-ever Olympic appearance. She is set to compete in her first-ever Olympic event on 28th July for a 200m breaststroke.
