Born in Londonderry, New Hampshire, on May 30, 1996, Alexxis Lemire was born to a Puerto Rican mother and a French father. She has one brother who served in the Marines. Her mother, Hilda, and her father, Jim, along with her brother, Edwin Joel Rodriguez are based in Londonderry. Her mother is a professional makeup artist. She turned her hobby of doing makeup for her daughter into a profession, by getting her makeup artist certification and license. Alexxis was a part of the Londonderry High School cheer team, from where she graduated in 2014.

Starting her career in the year 2016, Alexxis played the role of Scarlet Double for two episodes in Disney XD’s Lab Rats: Elite Force. She has also been a part of a horror movie. In the year 2017, she starred in the Television Film called Truth or Dare as Jesse Havnell. The horror movie also starred Luke Baines. In the year 2018, she played the role of Kate Miller in the Lifetime Television film The Art of Murder. She has also starred in a TV movie called The Other Mother.
Her breakthrough role came in the year 2020 when she was cast in the Netflix movie The Half of It. It is an LGBT coming-of-age comedy-drama which is directed by Alice Wu. In the movie, Alexxis plays the role of Aster Flores. Her character is a high school student, who is at the center of a love triangle. The movie also stars Leah Lewis and Daniel Diemer.
The movie, which was released in May 2020, received positive feedback. It has comic elements in it along with showing the platonic side of love. After garnering favorable reviews, the movie won Best Narrative Feature at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.
