Early Life
Matthew Semelsberger was born on 23rd November 1992 in Rockville, Maryland, USA. He grew up in a Christian family with his parents Mike and Joy Semelsberger. Ever since childhood, he has inclined towards sports and grew up playing football. He also has two siblings brothers Samuel and Michael and a sister named Lauren. Matthew is believed to have completed his high school education from a local school in Rockville, Maryland, and later went on to attend Marist College with a Criminal Major. He was a scholarship student and played football for the college team. He is known to be trained in jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai.

Matthew started his career in Mixed Martial arts after completing his training in Jiu-jitsu with a Blue Belt and Muay Thai with a Purple belt. His career as a fighter began in the year 2017 and since then, he has been part of 11 MMA matches out of which he managed to win 8 matches by unanimous decision. He initially started his career at the age of 14 but he soon dropped out. Later in 2017, he played his first-ever match as a pro against Donelei Benedetto. Matthew then continued to fight in championships like CFFC, UFC, Maverick MMA, etc. He won a match against Zulkarniyan Kamchybekov, Richard Patishnick, and Kris Gratalo in his initial years.
In 2020, he was set to appear in UFC Fight Night Edwards Vs Edgar against Philip Rowe but he later also had to fight Carlton Minus in the same match. He won the match with a unanimous decision and later appeared against Jason Witt. Matthew managed to secure another win and also earned the Performance of the Night Award. He is currently associated with Clinch Academy and also plays as part of the Crazy 88 team. Recently in 2021, he fought against Khaos Williams on UFC The Korean Zombie vs Ige but unfortunately lost. He is now set to appear in the upcoming match against Martin Sano Jr at UFC 266 on September 26th which marks a much-awaited comeback by his competitor.
