Will McEntire is an American personality and is famously known for being the college baseball player committed to Arkansas at the University of Arkansas. He is a left-handed batsman and right-handed thrower, mainly playing at starting pitcher position. While playing for the College World Series on 21st June 2022, Will McEntire threw 7 innings with a one-run ball and 11-1 with winning score over Auburn, eliminating the Tigers and setting up the rematch against Ole Miss. in June 2022, the Arkansas Razorback is bound to play college world series for the first time after 2019 and 11th time in the program history.
Early Life
Will McEntire is 22 years old because of his birth on 25th August 2000. He was coached and guided throughout his life since childhood especially in baseball by his father and real-life coach Madison. McEntire went to Bryant High School (Bryant, AR), where he completed his education, and later went to the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, AR), where he is currently pursuing his collegiate baseball years and most recently is playing college world series (16 June to 27 June 2022)

During his high school career, McEntire was rated as the No. 5 RHP and 10th overall prospect by Perfect Game in his hometown- the state of Arkansas where he spent his whole life. Later, he earned the honor of being named a top-500 player by PG. During his high school career, he also played prep ball for the Bryant Black Sox. among the various honors and awards, he earned the most prestigious honors and accolades in his high school, such as:

- Preseason Underclass All-American Honorable Mention PG 2018
- Perfect Game – East Cobb Invitational All-Tournament Team 16U 2017
- All-State honors while playing as a junior
While playing for Bryant High School, he scored the record-making earnings of 1.60 ERA over 48.0 innings, with 64 strikeouts.
Freshman Season 2020
Initially, he began with one game and later came out of the bullpen in another game as a freshman back in 2020. He had record-making earnings of 1.12 ERA and finished with a 1-0 record and had 8.0 innings. Will made the first career appearance on 7th March while standing against South Alabama and struck out 4 in the outing, making all 6 batters retire (that was all he faced during the game).
He later struck out the side in the 7th inning on 10 pitches. Will had his first start of the game on 10th March and stood against the team of Grand Canyon while pitching 6.0 innings of 1 run ball, making overall 6 hits and no walks while striking out 3, and eventually earned his first career win during the game. During the season, Will McEntire did not appear for any game and later became redshirted.
Season 2022 with Arkansas
After having a productive summer in the Northwoods Summer League where he made the record of 5-0, 2.59 ERA, and 59IP, McEntire had his return to Arkansas in 2022 where he had to again wait to shine with the best scores and best performances. Eventually, McEntire made his debut with Arkansas on the 12th of April and received the starting nod during Arkansas’ midweek game and stood against the University of the Arkansas- Pine Bluff.
