He started his professional career with the Gulf Coast League Rays, a Rookie-level team, where he pitched for 23 innings and recorded a 5.09 ERA. In the 2019 season, he joined the Princeton Rays, a Rookie-level team in the Appalachian League, and participated in 11 starts and 12 overall appearances. He achieved a 2-5 and a 3.18 ERA during this time.
At the outset of the 2021 season, Taj Bradley started playing with the Low-A East Charleston RiverDogs, where he achieved an impressive 9-3 with a 1.76 ERA over 14 starts. Consequently, he was promoted to the High-A East Bowling Green Hot Rods after success at Charleston RiverDogs. While playing with the Bowling Green Hot Rods, he participated in eight games and delivered an exceptional performance with 3-0, a 1.96 ERA, and 42 strikeouts over 36+1⁄3 innings.
At the beginning of the 2022 season, Bradley was assigned to the Double-A Montgomery Biscuits, and he got a chance to play in the 2022 All-Star Futures Game, where he was selected. After the MLB All-Star break, Bradley was promoted to the Triple-A Durham Bulls. To start the 2023 season, Bradley was sent down to Triple-A Durham on option. However, the Rays later decided to bring him up to the major leagues, and he made his debut on the following day of his promotion.
