Stefanos Tsitsipas is a professional tennis player from Greece. He is the ATP’s youngest player in the top ten, with a career-high ranking of No. 5 in the world. Early life

Stefanos was born on August 12, 1998, in Athens, Greece, to a Greek father from Karditsa, Greece, and a Russian mother from Moscow, Russia. These two individuals were the first to introduce him to tennis. It all began on the tennis courts of a nearby resort, where both of his parents worked as tennis instructors for tourists and travelers. He has two siblings Petros and Pavlos, and one sister Elisavet who all play tennis. Stefanos started playing tennis at a very young age. He completed his high school from English high school with good grades. To help train his kids, he officially considered tennis instructing at the University of Athens. Tsitsipas started preparing at the Patrick Mouratoglou Academy in 2015, dividing his time among France and Greece during this time.

Born in a tennis family, it was quite obvious for him to start tennis lessons from an early age. His mother Julia Apostoli had played tennis professionally while his father was a tennis coach. In fact, it was his parents who introduced him to tennis when he was just three years old. When he turned six years old, he started tennis coaching at Glyfada Tennis Club near Athens. At the age of 8, he got tennis coaching under Giorgos Spiliopoulos, an individual coach.

Tsitsipas commenced his professional journey at the age of 15 as he reached all the way to the final of Orange Bowl.
