Shannon’s career began at a very young age of 4 when she saw cheerleaders performing. As soon as her family moved to Texas, she got enrolled in a gymnastics class where for 2-3 she got trained. But she could never entirely focus on gymnastics as the gym has a cheer program as well and soon after 2-3 years, she started cheering at the same gym for Cheer Nation. Shannon made her way to the junior level tea, 5, and soon became a part of the first senior world’s team called Prodigy Midnight in 2012. As her level of experience increases, she made it to higher teams. Woolsey joined Cheer Athletics Cheetahs where she was part of the team for nearly 2 years. In this journey, she became the recipient of two major titles in cheerleading.
Woolsey began cheerleading at Oklahoma State University but continued her education online after a semester. She then re-joined cheerleading and ended up with an all-girls team called Panthers, who then was placed second in the World Championships. Starting from her sophomore year, Shannon attended Navarro College. In January 2020, Shannon starred in Netflix documentary Cheer and gained quite some popularity. Soon after the show’s premiere, the cast was also made it to the television show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, along with other members of the team, Jerry Harris, Gabi Butler, Lexi Brumback, Morgan Simianer, etc.
