Ricky Seals-Jones, in full, Roderick “Ricky” Seals-Jones is an America-based NFL player who plays football tight end for the Washington Football Team. He played college football at Texas A & M and signed a contract to play football as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He has also been a member of the Cleveland Browns and Kanas City Chiefs.

Early Life

Ricky was born on 15th March 1995 and attended Sealy High School where he was a two-sport athlete. Seals-Jones is the cousin of Eric Dickerson who plays for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Both of the boys attended the same school while being in their childhood age. Dickerson has been like a mentor to Seals-Jones. He was like a dominant sport athlete while being at 3A Texas High school football level and was named for Parade Magazine. During his college career, he went to participate in many football games that helped him to grow.

From 2013 to 2016, he played football for Texas A&M under the head coach of Kevin Sumlin. Later, he ended up red-shirting only after appearing for two games before he suffered an end injury. When his team stood against Rice, he was among the first three collegiate receptions who ran for 84 yards and 71-yard touchdown receptions. As a redshirt freshman, he played for his team against #9South Carolina and ran for 67 yards with one touchdown. In the next games against Lamar and Rice, he received a touchdown in both the games.

Rise to Fame

He finished his redshirt freshman season while being a single reception running for 21 yards against West Virginia. As a sophomore and being redshirted, he appeared in almost 13 games. In the season of 2015, he scored a touchdown against #21 Mississippi State. On 17th October, he has his best performance of the season against #10 Alabama where he ran for six receptions and 107 yards with a single touchdown. He finished the season with three receptions, running for 18 yards and a single touchdown while defeating Louisville in Music City Bowl 2015.

In the season of 2016, his production dropped but was one of the important players and a contributor to his team Aggies. On 3rd September he stood against #16 UCLA in the season and had four receptions running for 57 yards making the victory by 31-24. On 24th September 2016, his team stood against #17 Arkansas where he recorded 47 yards with one injury in his left leg. Later after a month, he returned to the field and stood against #1 Alabama proceeding with 25 yards and losing the team with 33-14. In his final game with Aggies, he ran for 34 yards with an overall score of 33-28 while losing the team against Kansa State Wildcats in the 2016 Texas Bowl.

After the 2016 season, he stepped forward to enter the 2017 NFL Draft. Seals-Jones has made only a few years with an NFL career. After making a promising 2019 year with NFL, he landed in Kansas City while playing for the game and getting elevated to his next level. He went undrafted in the year 2017. He played for Cleveland Browns in 2019 but later got his NFL start with the team Arizona Cardinals. While playing for Arizona, he scored overall 46 passes while running for 544 yards and scoring almost 4 touchdowns, and gained a new position for himself.
