Noa Tishby originally gained national recognition in the 1990s performing in the popular Israeli drama series Ramat Aviv Gimmel and in West Side Story at the Habima Theatre. Besides performing in soaps and dramatic television in Hebrew, she also released the English album Nona, which was not only one of the first albums by an Israeli artist to succeed in English but was also released in Japan through Virgin Records.

Among her most influential works is in the background: in 2008, she sold an Israeli series, BeTipul, to HBO, which turned it into In Treatment. As an executive producer, she co-produced In Treatment and contributed to more than 150 episodes in multiple seasons. In line with her acting and production career, Tishby has emerged as a leading activist.
In 2011, she formed the organization Act for Israel as a response to what she views as misinformation and delegitimization of Israel. She has also created Reality Israel and the institute Eighteen, which was to fight against antisemitism and Jewish identity.
She is the author of two New York Times bestselling books, Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth (2021) and Uncomfortable Conversations with a Jew (co-written with Emmanuel Acho).
