Megan Danielle is a 20-year-old budding Christian singer and songwriter. She is a new contestant in American Idol season 21. She works in a Restaurant with her mother as a waitress, dishwasher, and cashier in a Southern restaurant in Georgia.

Early Life
Megan Danielle was born in 2003 and raised in Douglasville, Georgia. The talented singer and her four siblings were raised by her mother. She picked up music as a child and started learning on her own. After her parent’s divorce music helped her cope.
She spent most of her time with her grandfather Chuck Bass working at the shop in Douglasville. Her grandfather had a huge influence on her as a child. He always motivated her to follow her heart and reach her full potential. She completed high school while working part-time and performing in bars.

She started performing in restaurants at the age of 15. By the time she was 18 Megan was part of a band and they used to perform in public bars. Performing in bars wasn’t her first preference. That’s when her grandfather encouraged her to take up exclusive Christian music. She contested in The Voice in 2020 and most recently in American Idol. The voice was a stepping stone for the singer in her career.
After the show, she released her single in 2021 called ‘Top of the World’. She dropped her first Christian single titled All Around in the year 2022 in memory of her father who passed away in the hospital. Later she co-wrote ‘In the Rain’ with Levi Watkins.
American Idol
Megan is a new contestant in American Idol season 21 in 2023. The first episode featured 14 singers, including 20-year-old Megan Danielle, trying to earn a spot in the final 24 competitors. She performed the song ‘You Say’ by Lauren Daigle. Her voice was so raw and melodious, it swayed everyone. All judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan appreciated the young singer.
Megan got compared to an unpolished diamond and more coaching will help her reach her potential. The singer got selected for the next round. In between her performance former season, 9 idol Lauren Daigle surprised her. They both sang the song together in angelic voices and won the hearts of the judges. Megan currently reached the top 26 and will perform Monday night with the other 12 contestants out of 26.
The voice
Before American Idol, Megan also participated in The voice season 18 in 2020. She did a rendition of the song ‘Remedy’ by Adele in her blind audition. Then judges Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend, and Blake Shelton were all touched by her voice. She competed on Kelly’s team and finished in the top 9 at the age of 17.
She sang many songs throughout the season which left an impact on the audience. ‘What Hurts the Most’ is considered one of her best performances on the show in the semi-finals. Her cover of ‘Anyone’ by Demi Lovato is in the top 17 performances of The Voice. She has a remarkable raw and country voice.

She is currently dating Levi Walker and they both wrote a song together ‘In the Rain’. Her parents got divorced when she was a little kid. Megan and her siblings were raised by a single mother.
