Maja Stark, in full, Maja Sofia Stark, is a Swedish personality and a professional golf player. She has won and received the title highlights of the Ladies European Tour (6), LPGA Tour (1), and ALPG Tour (1). She turned professional in August 2021 and received the title of two tournaments in three starts at the Ladies European Tour. As of August 2023, Maja Stark is playing for Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open, the LPGA Tour, which will provide $2 million to the winner.

Maja Stark was only 17 when she appeared for the Swedish National Team in 2016. She represented her country, Sweden, at the European Girl’s Team Championship, and in her presence, the country won silver in 2016 and gold in 2017.

College Career (2019 to 2021)

Maja was a freshman at Oklahoma State University (2019 to 2020) and won the Hurricane Invitational. She participated in and won the Arnold Palmer Cup at Bay Hill Club and Lodge 2020 while playing with an international team. In her sophomore year, Maja Stark won two titles and finished her campaign with the rank no. 4 at the end of the season. 

She maintained a record of 49-2 with a head-to-head competition against the top players in the list of the top 100. Then, she had an average of 70.48 strokes and broke the previous year’s career record, which was earlier set by Caroline Hedwall in 2010. She had 6th place in the World Amateur Golf Ranking list in July 2020.

LPGA

Maja Stark turned professional in August 2021 and aimed to qualify for the titles of the LPGA Tour. She won her first professional title, the PGA Championship, and began her 2022 season with a strong foot. Later, she started the 2023 season with LPGA Tour Hilton Grand Vacations, finishing as a runner-up in January 2023.
