She’s been head coach at Florida State since 2009 and has led her team to great achievement. Her leadership skills and expertise have helped shape some of today’s best college softball players. In addition to her role as head coach at Florida State, Alameda also coached for USSSA Pride of National Pro Fastpitch from 2016 to 2017. In 2005, UNLV head coach Alameda achieved a record-breaking season with a 44-19 score and led the team to their first NCAA Tournament in nine years. This earned her recognition as Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year.

UNLV’s softball team, coached by  Alameda, experienced significant improvement in 2007 with a record of 37-27 and earned the title of MWC Coach of the Year. However, injuries to four starters led to a disappointing finish for the team in 2008 with a final record of 25-40-1 despite starting strong at 9-1-1 and achieving their first top-25 ranking.
