Kyle Alexander Kuzma is a 25-year-old American professional basketball player who plays as a Power Forward for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is one of the key players for the Lakers along with Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
Early life
Kyle Kuzma was born on July 24th, 1995 in Flint, Michigan, and raised by his single mother, Karri Kuzma, a shot-put champion who played at the high school level. Kyle has met his biological father only once, in fact, the father of his younger brother and sister, Larry Smith, is more of a father figure to him. At a very early age of two, a basketball rim was set in the living room for Kyle which led to his interest in the game.
Kuzma studied in Swartz Creek Community Schools and transferred to Bentley High School in Michigan. As a junior, he averaged 17.9 points, 14.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 blocks per game. Kuzma had impressive talent at a young age and was selected by the head coach at Rise Academy, Vin Sparacio. He saw potential in the young kid and brought him to Philadelphia. In 2017 he majored in sociology from the University of Utah.

From a very early age of two, Kuzma has been attracted to Basketball. In his high school days in Michigan, he averaged 17.9 points, 14.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 blocks per game. He was seen as an outstanding player in the game. While at Rise Academy, as a high school senior he averaged 22 points and seven rebounds per game. He was offered to play Division I from many schools but soon he decided to attend the University of Utah in 2013. In 2017, Kuzma enrolled himself for the 2017 NBA draft in his final year and was selected by the Brooklyn Nets. But in an exchange in a draft-day trade, he signed his rookie scale contract with Los Angeles Lakers.
In 2017, Kuzma signed a contract with Los Angeles Lakers and is into his third season with the team. Ever since he has made a successful career and is playing the third season with the Lakers. In December 2017 he scored a career-high of 38 points and in the following game against Golden State Warriors, he had a team-high of 27 points which led him to become the first Lanker rookie to have scored 25 or more points in three straight games after Jerry West. In the 2018-2019 season, in October 2018, he scored a season-high score of 37 points and in January 2019 he scored a career-high of 41 points against Detroit Pistons.
