Jeremy Pang is originally from Hong Kong and has got his skills in the kitchen. He is a highness owner, author, and TV chef, and most of the time stays surrounded by the food. He comes from the chefs of three generations including his father, grandfather, and great grandfather- all used to have street food mastery in their hands. In 2009, Jeremy decided to walk in the footsteps of his father and the whole family, so he opened the School of Wok in London- a mobile cookery school that helps students to receive the knowledge of learning dishes while staying in the comfort of their home.

On both sides of his mother and father (name not revealed), he used to have a family of passionate people who would have the desire to make good food and gather the family together to share the taste. He says his mother is from Guandong (Canton), where the family owns popular restaurants and hotels. He often used to visit those hotels and restaurants and would often be amazed at how they cooked food with such innovative techniques and establishments. On the other hand, his father belonged to a town near Shanghai. Both of his parents were brought up in Hong Kong and later migrated to the UK in the 60s.
On one hand, his mother’s father Tim Ho was a Chinese baker and dim sum specialist in Hong Kong. He sold the bakery and moved to Manchester to open a new shop called Ho’s Bakery which was passed to Jeremy’s uncles when his grandad wanted to retire. The Ho’s Bakery is still running in Manchester’s Chinatown. On the other hand, Jeremy’s dad’s family migrated to the UK where they lived for years spending their lives in refugee camps. During the time, Jeremy’s dad along with his seven siblings used to work in the kitchen of the restaurant and they all grew up with the effective hands-on making of food and delicious dishes. Later, Jeremy grew up and started going to school. He went to Le Cordon Blue School, where he completed his primary education.

Being surrounded by a family of food makers, Jeremy started developing his passion for making food and spreading the knowledge of the same. After going through the dilemma of choosing the right career, he landed on the idea of making School of Wok in London in 2009. After earning success with his mobile cookery kitchen, he started getting help from sponsors. He developed and opened his kitchen permanently in May 2012 in Covent Garden, a well-thought-out location near London’s Chinatown. Since then, the business has turned around and has now laid the professionals working to teach around 60,000 students the secret of Asian cuisine. His business has also earned The British Cookery School Awards in 2014.
Jeremy now works as the regular chef and you can find him telecasted on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. He has also authored two books namely Chinese Unchopped and Hong Kong Diner. He is also involved in different ventures dealing with supermarket grocery food. Jeremy Pang was seen starting a cookery show called Asian Kitchen, beginning on 18th June 2022. The cookery show would be telecasted on the ITV channel for one hour beginning at 11:35 am. In each episode, he would be seen traveling to different places in the UK to meet the demands of food and dish production and will find the ingredients from the different places which he will use in his kitchen.
