Jane Coaston is an American Political Journalist and has worked with various journalism firms. She is a BA graduate from the University of Michigan and has been honored with the Stephen J. Tonsor Best Oral Presentation of Thesis Award on “Nazi Propaganda Before and After the Battle of Stalingrad”. Recently she is under the limelight for working as a Host and Editor of The Argument at The New York Times.

Jane Coaston was born on 3rd September 1987 in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. The names of her parents are Byron Coaston and Jody Coaston. She also has a sister whose name is Susannah Coaston. At a young age, she was really a studious child and enjoyed showing interest in current affairs side. Jane has completed her high school education at a local school in her hometown. Later in 2005, she went to the University of Michigan. From there she received a BA in History and Political Science. She was also invited to attend the Collegiate Network’s Geostrategic Journalism Conference in Prague, Czech Republic.

After completing her studies, she started pursuing her professional career. In June 2009 she worked as a Staff Writer for St. Louis Post Dispatch in St Louis, Missouri. Next year in September she worked as an Editorial Research Intern for The Chronicle of Higher Education. In January 2011 she worked as a Staff editor and writer for Arabella Advisors in Washington, DC. Next year in March she worked as a Media Relations Coordinator for Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Later in 2013, she worked as a Press Secretary for the Environmental Working Group.

In September 2014 she worked as a Writer for Human Rights Campaign. Later in February 2016, she worked as a Political Reporter at MTV Networks/ Logo. Over there she covered the 2016 election and American politics. Next year she worked as a Senior Politics Reporter for Vox Media Inc. In November 2020 she was seen working as the Host and Editor of “The Argument”. She is presently building her fan base via an Opinion podcast and a loyal audience.
