Jahmyr played the first game against Central Florida. After the game, he was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Freshman of the Week after finishing 219 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. During his time at his college, Georgia Tech, he received the honorable mention of All-ACC as a return specialist.

Alabama

Jahmyr spent one year with Alabama to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2022. On 1st October, Alabama received a victory over #20 Arkansas. In the following game, they had another victory over Texas A&M. Next, they stood against #6 Tennessee, where they lost by 52–49 and where Jahmyr had 24 carries for 103 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
