Gisele was born on 27th February 1982 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was brought up by her mother along with her younger brother. Both the children shifted to the United States along with their mother when Gisele was only 7 years old and went to the country as undocumented immigrants. Gisele, who was unknown of the English language after she arrived in the US, got herself enrolled in the second language program at her school in Queens.
