Early Life
Freddy was born on 26th October 1994 in Miami, Florida, USA. He was born to his parents Freddy Miyares Sr and Alma Miyares, a Latin-American family and is of mixed ethnicity as his family has Cuban as well as Honduran roots. Freddy believes in Christianity and also known to have grown up with his sibling sister Alejandra Miyares who works as a Banker in Bank of America and completed her education at the University of Florida.
Freddy has not shared much about his early education but it is known that he completed his elementary, middle as well as high school education from Miami, Florida itself where he lived with his family. Freddy started his career in 2018 when he secured his debut role in the TV series “Elementary” and portrayed the small and brief role of Javi. He also performed in various theatrical productions locally but the exact names have not been shared. later, he was also cast in another television series “The Code” in 2019 as Alejandr Ximenez.
His career took a positive turn when he was cast in the Netflix TV mini-series “When they see us” in 2019 as Raymond Santana, one of the people falsely convicted for the Central Park Rape case. the show was based on a true-life incident portraying the lives of Antron McCray, Raymond Santana, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, and Korey Wise who were falsely convicted for a rape case in central Park in 1989. The series gained a lot of media attention and interested a lot of true crime fans. Freddy received great prizes for his performance and came to be more recognized among fellow actors.
He was also cast in the show “The L Word: Generation Q” to portray the role of Jose Gracia in 2019. The show was a limited series and wrapped up in 2020. He signed up for another show “DMZ”.
