Emmet Sheehan is a Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Sheehan pitched in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League for the Bristol Blues and New Britain Bees in 2018 and 2020, respectively. In 2018, he was an FCBL All-Star. Sheehan participated as an All-Star for the Danbury Westerners in the New England Collegiate Baseball League in 2019.

Sheehan spent three years at Fordham Preparatory in the Bronx, New York, before transferring to Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut. He played three seasons of collegiate baseball for the Boston College Eagles while a student at Boston College. He had a 5-5 record, a 4.23 ERA, and 106 strikeouts in 76+2/3 innings thrown as a junior.

Sheehan was chosen by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft.After signing with the franchise, he was assigned to the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League Dodgers to begin his professional career before being promoted to the Low-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and then to the High-A Great Lakes Loons a second time.

Sheehan had a 3-0 record and a 5.17 ERA during the season, pitching over 15+2/3 innings over seven appearances and striking out 34 batters. He returned to Great Lakes to begin the 2022 season. He played in 18 games (12 starts) with the Loons before receiving a late-season call-up to the Double-A Tulsa Drillers, where he started two games. Between the two teams, he had a 7-2 record, 2.91 ERA, and 106 strikeouts.

Sheehan started out in 2023 with Tulsa, making 10 starts out of a possible 12 and with a 4-1 record and 1.86 ERA. He also struck out 88 batters in 53+ innings. In order to face the San Francisco Giants, he was promoted to the major leagues on June 16. He allowed two walks and three strikeouts over six innings of scoreless, no-hit pitching in his debut. He struck out against Mike Yastrzemski in his first professional game.
