Early Life
Em Beihold was born on January 21, 1999, in Los Angeles, California. During the Iranian Revolution, her mother shifted to the USA. Her parents are a part of the entertainment industry. Her mother is a producer and her Father is a storyboard artist. She was intrigued to play piano at the young age of 6 after seeing it in a shop. Soon she started writing her own songs. She wrote her first song ‘American Home’ at the age of seven.
She attended schools that are art-oriented and focused on practicing her skills. In 2017 Emily graduated from John Burroughs High School in Burbank. She did years of voice, piano, and writing practice before getting her big break. In addition to that she also learned the guitar and ukelele to diversify her talent. Her mentors Jamieson Trotter and Lisa Pimentel helped her discover her songwriting talent.

Emily released her first original song in 2015 ‘Thrown to the wolves’. The song was about her personal experience of feeling left out when she got transferred from her school to a public school. Her first live performance was in the Republic of Pie. In 2017 she released her debut EP ‘ Infrared’ consisting of six songs. The debut gained popularity in the industry which led her to work with music manager Paul Mencel. Following the release, she also got the offer to write a song for the movie ‘I’m not here’.
The singer then signed on to Republic Records and she released her most popular song ‘Numb Little Bug’ under the label. Later she released another single ‘Too precious’.
