Her father’s name is John Newton while Rory is her brother. She attended Wesley College based in Melbourne, Australia, and then later made her debut in the television industry. Ella made her debut on television by appearing in the drama series Newton’s Law in 2017 Lydia Newton Docker. The series was released through ABC TV in February 2017. Later she was seen in the drama series Playing for Keeps as Ella Rickards along with famous actresses named Olympia Valance, Madeleine West, and Annie Maynard. The drama series was released in September 2018 and its final episode aired on December 4, 2019. The same year she also was cast for the role of Delaney Renshaw in Neighbours. She gained recognition for playing the role of Fern Harrow in ABC’s mystery series Harrow in the year 2018.
Ella played one of the main characters in the series alongside Ioan Gruffud and Remy Hii. The second season premiered in 2019 while in 2021 the third season of the series was released. Ella was also seen in the Australian series SeaChange as a recurring role of Stella Connors in season 4. Ella is set to make her debut in the film industry by appearing in the film named Lavender along with Ivy D’Orsogna, which tells the story of Poppy, a teenage girl, and her sister who struggles with mental illness, both of them learning to find empowerment in sisterhood. The film premiered at the Chicago Feminist Film Festival in 2019.
