Dayana Yastremska was born in Odessa, Ukraine on May 15, 2000. She is 24 years old. Her father, Alexander Yastremsky, was a volleyball player and also served on the Odessa City Council. As a professional in 2017, she trained in Istanbul with Gavin Hopper, a former coach of Monica Seles. Yastremska later began training at the Justine Henin Academy, with Henin becoming her consultant in 2018. She worked with one of the academy’s coaches Olivier Jeunehomme, until September 2019.
