Christian Horner was born on 16th November 1973 in England, which makes him 49 years old as of 2023. Regarding his family details, Christian family members are involved in the car industry. His grandfather was the purchasing manager at the Standard Motor Company in Coventry, England and later (maybe after retiring) formed an agency with his son Garry Horner (Horner’s father), supplying motor components in the Midlands region.

Christian Horner Career

Christian began his racing career at a young age. He began his official or professional career in racing in 1991 after he won the Formula Renault scholarship. Then, in 1992, he participated in a competition called the 1992 British Formula Renault Championship, winning the championship with his partner, Manor Motorsport, and eventually became the highest-placed rookie.

In 1993, he had a shift from normal or standard championships to British Formula Three, where he was designated with second position in the Class B Championship for P1 Motorsports. He won five races and later had a shift to the Fortec and ADR teams in 1994 and 1995 followed by the TOM’S team in 1996.

Rise to Fame

In 1997, he had a shift to Formula 3000 and established his team which was called Arden. That time, he brought up his team of various members using borrowed money and had a loan from his father. Later on, he was joined by various other racers and a few countable names like Kurt Mollekens with whom the team stood at one stage.

At the age of 25, he retired from competitive driving. After that, he signed with racing drivers Viktor Maslov and Marc Goossens for the 1999 FIA F3000 season. In 2011, the team won their second Constructors’ Championship, and German motorsports racing driver Sebastian Vettel became the world’s youngest double champion, followed by the third Constructors’ Championship in 2013.

In 2013, the Red Bull Racing Team won its fourth consecutive F1 Constructors’ Championship and driver Vettel won his fourth Drivers’ Championship. The Red Bull Racing team finished second in the F1 Constructors’ Championship with drivers Sergio Pérez and Max Verstappen in 2021. The next year, the team won the F1 Constructors’ Championship with drivers Sergio Pérez ( placing in 3rd position) and Max Verstappen driver won the F1 Drivers’ Championship.

Christian is a happily married man. He wedded his loving wife Geri Halliwell on 15t May 2015 in Woburn, Bedfordshire. His wife’s Full name is Geraldine Estelle Horner, and a former Spice Girl. She professionally worked as a singer, songwriter, author, and film actress. The couple announced their engagement on 11th November 2014.

On 10th October 2016, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together. Later, the couple’s son was born in January 2017. The 6-year-old son is named Montague George Hector Horner (Nickname Monty). Both Christian and his wife Geri are involved in a second marriage.
