Early life
Chiara was born as Chiara Aurelia de Braconier d’Alphen on September 13, 2002 in New Mexico, United States. Her father Freddie was of French descent while her mother Claudia is an Ashkenazi Jewish. Her maternal grandfather was Tony Travis, a well-known singer, and actor, other than that not much is known about her family. From her childhood, Chiara was sure of the fact that she wants to pursue acting and hence began training at a young age.
She moved between the mountains of the Southwest, and the Sunshine State with her clear focus on acting, dancing, and singing. From a very young age, Chiara had a strong sense of what she wanted to do, and that why at the age of 4, she began attending the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute to study acting.
Chiara Aurelia Career
Chiara completed her education where she got trained to become a professional actor. In 2014 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting even further and soon began to feature in a couple of short films before making it big with a recurring role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Subsequently, she appeared on the television series Tell Me Your Secrets as Rose Lord alongside Amy Brenneman and Lily Rabe. In 2017, she played the role of young Carla Gugino as Jessie in Gerald’s Game, which is an adaptation of Stephan King’s novel.
In 2018, Aurelia played Misty in Independent Feature Film, Back Roads at Tribeca Film Festival for which she even nominated for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Supporting Role. She also featured on NBC’s The Brave, Recovery Road, Pretty Little Liars, and feature film Big Sky, alongside Kyra Sedgwick and Bella Thorne. Following her performances, in Back Roads and Gerald’s Game, Chiara became the recipient of The Young Entertainer’s Awards as well as The BAM Awards.
In April 2021, Chiara was one of the leads of the thriller series Cruel Summer as Jeanette, who goes from being a dork to being one of the most popular girls in town. Chiara surely loves working in thriller films and soon she will be seen in the upcoming American horror film Fear Street, which is the adaptation of R.L Stein’s book series of the same name. The movie will be released in 2021.
