Brooke McCubbin is a right-handed pitcher for the Clemson Tigers. She turned out to be an important part of the Tigers who helped save close games throughout the journey of NCAA Tournament 2023.

Brooke McCubbin was born on May 14, 2003, to Brian and Hollie McCubbin. She attended Locust Grove High School and is a resident of Locust Grove. Her extensive recruitment journey came to an end earlier this week when the Locust Grove High junior made her college aspirations public. She made a straightforward Twitter tweet and chose Clemson as her post-high school location.

Brooke won the 2019 GACA State Pitcher of the Year, the 2019 GADC State 5A Player of the Year, the 2020 Georgia Gatorade Softball Player of the Year, and two consecutive Region Pitcher of the Year awards (2018, 2019) before enrolling at Clemson.
In 2022 she was named ACC Top Newcomer to Watch in Softball. She had five victories in 18 appearances in the circle, including six starts. Brooker pitched a season-high of 5.1 innings against Northwestern. Later she struck out a season-high five hitters against Winthrop.
She recorded two saves, one against Mercer on March 9 and the other against North Carolina on April 3. On 11th February, she tallied four at-bats on the season, including three against Texas. In 2023 she appeared in 19 games, starting six of them, and holds a 1.06 ERA after 66.1 innings of play. She has a 5-1 record for the season.
Brooke made her first save in her career against Gardner-Webb on 1st March 2023. She registered five strikeouts and threw her maiden solo shutout against Jacksonville on 11th March. On February 25, she recorded a season-high eight strikeouts against Michigan State. Later on 5th April, she pitched 6.2 hitless innings against Furman.
After pitching three innings against NC State she earned her second save on 15th April. On 12th May she scored a four-inning, three-strikeout performance against Duke at the ACC Tournament. She had one at-bat against Northwestern on 17th February.
