Ally Shipman is a successful and well-known softball player who began playing softball professionally in the year 2019. She is the driving force behind the success of Alabama Crimson Tide Softball throughout her entire career.
Ally made her collegiate debut on February 8 against UIC, hitting a home run and collecting three RBIs. She also had two runs, a home run, and an RBI against New Mexico. Early Life
Ally Shipman, the daughter of Bill and Lorri Shipman, was born on October 25, 1999. She has one brother, Billy, and two sisters, Amanda and Madison. From 2011 until 2014, Madison, her sister, played softball for Tennessee. She has majored in Human Environmental Sciences.
Ally studied at Valencia High School in California’s Valencia. She finished high school with a 4.2 GPA. Ally Shipman was recognized as a member of the Extra Innings Softball 2018 Elite 100 and a 2018 PGF Regional All-American. She also won the 2017 Foothill League Player of the Year award. With seven home runs, five triples, 34 walks, 25 RBI, and a.528 on-base percentage as a senior, she batted.356.
Ally Shipman Career
Ally in her freshman year, batted.328 and finished the season with 6 runs, 21 hits, and 20 RBIs in just 22 games before being sidelined for the rest of the season due to injury. In her collegiate debut against UIC on February 8, she hit a home run and piled up three RBIs. However, she was forced to miss the rest of the season due to an injury after starting 22 games at the Lady Vols’ catcher position.
In Tennessee Over the course of her three years at Tennessee, she started 98 games, mostly as a catcher. Her 13 multi-hit games, nine multi-RBI games, and 39 RBIs in 2021 ranked second and third, respectively, on the team. In the 2021 SEC Tournament quarterfinal victory over Arkansas (May 13), hit the go-ahead home run.
She started 54 games in 2022 and recorded a combined 4-for-5 (.800) with six RBIs, two doubles, and a home run against Southern Utah (February 11) and Oregon State (February 12) gave her multi-hit performances in both of her first two starts for Alabama. At the Easton Bama Bash, she led the team with six hits and nine RBIs, including a game-winning two-run home run over eighth-ranked Virginia Tech (Feb. 19).
