Ludwika Paleta is a Polish-Mexican actress famous for her award-winning child role as Maria Joaquina Villaseñor in the Mexican television series Carrusel. She is married to Emiliano Salinas, the son of former Mexican President Carlos Salinas de Gortari.
Early Life
Ludwika Paleta was born on November 29, 1978, in Kraków, Poland to father Zbigniew Paleta, a Polish violinist and composer for telenovelas and the Cinema of Mexico, and mother Barbara Paciorek Paleta. She has an older sister named Dominika Paleta who is also a Polish-Mexican actress. while Ludwika was young her family moved to Mexico from Poland due to her father’s job and settled there permanently. She tagged along with her sister, Dominika to acting auditions and classes. We couldn’t discover details from where Ludwika did her education, but she studied in Poland and then had high schooling in Mexico.
Ludwika Paleta Career
As a young child, Ludwika accompanied her sister Dominika who was an aspiring actress to many auditions and shows in Mexico. She was then spotted by a few casting directors who were quite impressed with her and offered her a role in Carrusel. This marked Paleta’s television debut in 1989 by appearing as María Joaquina Villaseñor. Then she was seen in El Abuelo y yo as Alejandra. For both of these roles, she won the Best Child Performance award in 1990 and 1992. Paleta became an instant hit with her character and gained immense fame and popularity in Latin American countries. Huracán, Amigas y rivals, Niña amada mía and María la del Barrio were few of her early roles in television series.
In 2003, Ludwika made her debut in the film industry by appearing in Coma Dios Manda as Rita and the same year also was seen in the urban thriller Seis días en la oscuridad as Ximena Lagaspi. She was casted for the lead role of Alina Montellano in Duelo de pasiones, followed by Paulina Junco in Palabra de mujer, Los exitosos Pérez and as Mariana in El libro de Piedra in 2006. In 2013 she was the associated producer for ‘No sé si cortarme las venas o dejármelas largas’ and also played Nora in the film. Subsequently she casted in Mexican film Volando bajo as Toribia.
Apart from this, she played one of the main characters of Gabriela Mendoza in the Mexican drama film Rumbos paralelos. Ludwika also portrayed the mistress of a famous drug dealer in the series La querida del Centauro in 2016. In 2021, Ludwika will be seen portraying Ana in Madre solo hay dos on Netflix along with Paulina Goto.
