The woman received her first shot on 26th August and later died on 7th September according to public health officials. The cause of her death was the recognition of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome that is a rare identified disorder that is further characterized by blood clotting in the arterial veins and is induced by the vaccine. Symptoms of the disorder include severe pain, abdominal pain, breathing issues, chest pain, severe headache, and swelling of legs within a week of few days of the vaccination.

In a statement on Tuesday, the public health-Seattle & King County have shared the risks of the unvaccinated pandemic symptoms and said that over the 30 last days of King County, the unvaccinated persons are 57 times at risk than that of the vaccinated person of the same age. Further, the risk of getting hospitalized is around 41 times higher for an unvaccinated person than that of the vaccinated person of the same age. To date, there have been around 1,899 cases of death in King County due to COVID-related illness.
