Suresh Krishnan is the new contestant on the stage of Jeopardy, who dethroned the three-day winning champion, Jared Watson. Jared Watson had difficulty maintaining his position on 6th June 2023 when he faced Suresh and Deborah Claymon. Jared, the quality control specialist, bagged $56,202 and lost $2,401 on 6th June while answering, “What is the United Nations?” On that day, he secured the runner-up spot, coming after Suresh Krishnan, and received a prize of $10,399.

Early Life

Suresh Krishnan was born in March 1976 and studied at Concordia University, receiving a degree of Masters in Electrical Engineering. Earlier, he had a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras, India. He has yet to describe the details of his family and siblings.

Suresh Krishnan Career

Suresh professionally began his career in 1979 while working for HCL Technologies. At that time, he was nearly 21 years old and stretched his work in HCL Technologies (designated as a software engineer) till 1999. Meanwhile, he continued to work for another company called Cisco Systems (1997 to 1999). There also, he was designated as the software engineer.

After that, he worked at Ericsson (from 2000 to 2017) while beginning with the position of software designer (2000 to 2003), then promoted to Senior Specialist, IPv6 and IP Mobility (2003 to 2013), then was designated at Expert, IP Network Transformation (Apr 2013 – Feb 2015) and lastly had the designation of Distinguished Engineer (Feb 2015 – Apr 2017).

From April 2016 to April 2020, he worked for IETF – Internet Engineering Task Force, where he was hired as the Area Director of Internet Area. Then he joined the company Kaloom as the chief technology officer (2017 to 2022) and was promoted to the member board of directors (2020 to 2022). Most recently, he has worked for CISCO since March 2022 as a networking engineer.

Until now, Jared Watson has been on the show since 3rd June 2023, and he had his last night on the stage of Jeopardy on 6th June 2023. Jared Watson was a native of Greenville, formerly of Quinlan, and had a wonderful time on the show. He asserted the amount of $56,202 and had the most dramatic phase while competing against the two new contestants, Suresh Krishnan and Deborah Claymon.

On the one hand, Jared Watson had to lose nearly $2000 while answering the question, “What is the United Nations?” On the other hand, Deborah, a homemaker, received a payment of $1,199 and gave the correct answer to the question, “What does NATO stand for?” Consequently, she received an extra $599 in recognition of her achievement. Among all these contestants, Suresh Krishnan was the one who was in the lead with the amount of $10,600 and had the extra winning of $3000 for the answer “What is NATO?”
