On Wednesday, 11th May 2022 at around 9:56 p.m, the Austin Police Department received an emergency call where a woman was described returning home where her friend was bleeding and unconscious. The investigators arrived at the scene and found the 25-year-old female with multiple gunshot wounds. The officials performed immediate life-saving measures on the bleeding personality and found the victim dead. The victim was known to be Anna Moriah Wilson, who was pronounced dead at 10:10 p.m by doctor Escott.
According to the investigations, Wilson was shot by someone inside the home on Maple Ave. where the detectives have found the prime suspect. No reason could state that there is any threat to the common people or the ordinary public and the shooting doesn’t seem to be any random act. The cause of death was said to be a homicide. According to the legal affidavits, the 911 caller Caitlin Cash said Wilson was the suspect’s friend and was a professional cyclist who was from San Francisco, according to what the affidavits say. The suspect picked Wilson up from the airport on 10th May and they arrived in Austin for a bicycling race the coming weekend in Hico, Texas.

After the police were informed and reached the scene, the officers observed fired cartridge cases on the floor but no guns and firearms. The 911 caller Cash stated that on 11th May, Wilson sent a message to her saying that she was going swimming and to meet up with another friend named Colin. Cash went home to speak with Wilson about her night out with Colin. The girl left the home at around 5:30 p.m to meet her friend for dinner. She returned home where she (Wilson) was found to be dead on the bathroom floor covered with blood. On the other hand, Wilson’s bicycle appeared to be stolen, according to the affidavits. The authorities found the bicycle 68 feet south of Cash’s home.

Victim
Also known as Mo, Wilson used to describe herself as a personality who was on the way to a cycling career and sponsorships on Substack. The family of Wilson told the news channel KXAN-TV that they believe she was in a relationship with someone at the time of her death. She was believed to be killed after a minute when she arrived back from a swimming excursion. According to the US Marshal, who released the information on 20th May 2022, said that the homicide took place on 11th May in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue.
