Stereo 4 was born with the idea of Joel Baez who took the step with Roberto Sanchez and worked on the inseparable working duo, Jhay Nieves (vocalist of the group). Stereo 4 was initially a group of four different voices. The singing group was then made of four different young personalities who were all in the stage of their youth. The names included Jafet Cortes, Eduardo Esteras, Rubén Chinea, and Jesús M. Nieves. Some time, Cortez used to launch himself as a soloist.
Rise to Fame
In 2016, the young singer and rapper collaborated for the last time with the group for the hit song “Te quiero ver”, which was (in reality) the collaboration of his former group and he debuted the song while being a soloist. On 22nd August 2017, Cortez signed a contract with the company Universal Music Latin Entertainment along with the help of the producer HAZE aka Fino, better known as El Haze. he released the song for the company in his first single under the label of “Donde no se vea” which he made a success with the collaboration of Jory Boy and Pusho.
At the beginning of the year 2021, Cortez participated in the production of Los Legendarios and worked on the song “Fiel” with Wisin. The song later reached number 9 globally in the list of Spotify music platforms. Later in March 2021, Cortez appeared with Bad Bunny and worked on the performance of “Dakiti” at the Grammy Awards ceremony.
