Wallace went to Richardson High School in Richardson, Texas where he earned the title of Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year for Texas and the Dallas Morning News boys basketball Player of the Year during his senior year. He averaged 19.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game. Additionally, he received invitations to participate in the 2022 Mcdonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic.

On Sunday (7th November 2021), Cason Wallace, a top-10 senior, announced that he committed to Kentucky, granting coach John Calipari and the Wildcats the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.
