Early Life
Alex was born on 4th March 4, 1998, in Powder Springs, Georgia. He attended McEachern High School, where he excelled as a pitcher and an outfielder. In the 2016 MLB season, Baseball America ranked Speas as the 36th-ranked prospect after he played in the 2015 Under Armour All-America Baseball Game. At first, he was planning to play baseball at Auburn University. Eventually, he got drafted by the Rangers in the second round of the 2016 MLBN draft.
