Lavender Darcangelo is a blind and autistic singer who recently received the Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum on America’s Got Talent. Early Life
Lavender was born in 1996 and adopted in 2017 by Wil and Jamie Darcangelo, who run a mentorship program for young singers. Lavender asked Wil to adopt her as his daughter within a month of knowing him. In 2017, Will and his spouse Jamie became her adoptive parents.
In Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the First Parish Church hosts a music program for young vocalists. Darcangelo began singing before she could talk and had a perfect pitch.
