Jamie Grosshans, in full, Jamie Rutland Grosshans, or Jamie R. Grosshans, is currently serving as the justice of the Supreme Court of Florida. She began her tenure in this position on 14th September 2020, appointed by Ron DeSantis. Earlier to this designation, she was appointed to the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeal in 2018 and served as the Orange County Court Judge in the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida (where she had to take care of criminal and civil matters). Her tenure in the position of justice of the Supreme Court of Florida will lapse on 3rd January 2023. She assumed office on 14th September 2020. She is currently standing in re-election for the Florida Supreme Court judge, and the elections will be held on 8th November 2022.
Early Life
Jamie Grosshans (born- 1978/79) was brought up in Brookhaven, Miss., where she had her graduation from the University of Mississippi School of Law. she is the owner of her self-funded and self-founded law firm, where she handled family law and criminal defense and has been taking care of such matters for nearly ten years. Jamie Grosshans practiced at a known and recognized law school. While studying, she clerked for the United States Department of Justice Civil Rights Division in Washington, D.C., and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Mississippi. Following admission to The Florida Bar, she contributed her time to the position of an Assistant State Attorney for Orange County, Florida, during which she handled numerous criminal jury trials.

While practicing family law, she has presented various individuals in the dissolution of marriage, modifications, child support and paternity matters, adoptions, and other domestic issues. She has also worked as the Guardian ad Litem in the profession of domestic cases and dependency court. While practicing criminal defence law, she has presented various individuals beings charged with misdemeanors and felonies and juvenile delinquency, violations, and injection matters. During this time, she also worked at the designation of an Adjunct Professor at Valencia College, where she taught various students about hospitality law and tourism management programs for at least seven years.
Jamie Grosshans has also served as an active member of various associations, including the Orange County Bar Association, the George C. Young Inns of Court, the Christian Legal Society, and a Blackstone Fellow of the Alliance Defending Freedom, the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers. In 2011, she came into the limelight when she handled the case of a 16 years old girl being forced by her parents to have an abortion. This was called Operation Outcry in Orlando, Florida.
