Suella Braverman is a British politician and barrister and has held the position of the Attorney General for England and Wales since 2020. She also held the position of Member of Parliament (MP) for Fareham since 2015. She is a member of the conservative party and also chaired the European Research Group (ERG) from 19 June 2017 to 9 January 2018. Amid the immediate resignation of Boris Johnson due to political tension in UK politics, Suella is probably one of the best contenders to replace him as the next British Prime Minister.

Suella was born on 3rd April 1980 and she is 43 years old as of 2023. Her parents’ names are Christie and Uma Fernandes, who both had Indian origins and later settled in Britain in 1960 from Kenya and Mauritius. Uma was a working woman and held the position of a nurse and a counselor in Brent.
Her father belongs to Goan ancestry from South India and worked for a housing association during his time. Suella was born in Harrow, Greater London, and was later brought up in Wembley. Braverman went to Uxendon Manor Primary School in Brent and gained a partial scholarship that led her to the fee-paying Heathfield School, Pinner.

Braverman contested Leicester East during the 2005 general elections, finishing second. She also sought a spot in the London Assembly during the 2012 elections, landing 4th place on the conservative London-wide list.
Parliamentary Positions
In 2015, Braverman secured the MP position for Fareham with an impressive 56.1% of the votes and a majority of 22,262. She focused on education, home affairs, and justice, authoring numerous articles for notable media outlets.
During 2015-2017, Braverman served on the Education Select Committee. She was also a member of the Joint Committee on the Draft Investigatory Power Bill between November 2015 and February 2016.
Attorney General Position
