He is the youngest of all four children born to her waitress mother Betty Sue Palmer and father John Christopher Depp who was a civil engineer. The family settled in Miramar, Florida in 1970 and after 8 years in 1978, the parents got separated. At the time of his parent’s separation, Depp was merely 15 years old.

In December 1983 when he was just 20 years old, Johnny Depp married his colleague and makeup artist Lori Anne Allison, the sister of his music band’s (for which he worked before getting into the movies) bassist and singer. However, the marriage didn’t work for the kids and they broke up before having a recording deal in 1984. Later, the couple divorced each other in 1985.
