Davante Adams is an American football wide receiver who plays for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). Previously, he played football for Fresno State and was drafted by the Packers in the second round of the NFL Draft 2014.
Early Life
Davante Lavell Adams was born on 24th December 1992 and as of 2022, he is 30 years old. He was born to his loving and caring parents named Douglas Adams and Pamela Brown. Davante is not the only child of his parents as he was brought up along with his brother and two sisters. He went to Palo Alto High School and attended his senior season for the Vikings football team and led them to the CIF state championship. Davante scored 64 receptions, 1,094 yards, 12 touchdowns, and was a cornerback on defense with a total of 44 tackles.
He also played basketball and was given the honor of a two-star recruit in the sport. In basketball, he let four years in the game where he averaged 9.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists a senior. His performances and hard work made him get recruited by many national teams like California, Fresno State, Hawai’i, and San Diego State. Finally, he showed his interest and became committed to playing college football at Fresno State.

Davante was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round with the overall 53rd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was one of the ninth wide receivers to be selected for the year. On 12th June 2014, he signed a contract with the Packers. In the Week 2 of the season 2021, his team played against the Detroit Lions and caught 8 passes for 121 yards, allowing the Packers to win with an overall score of 35-17. In Week 3 while standing against the San Francisco 49ers, Adams finished the game with 12 receptions, 132 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown. This included two catches, and a receiving of 42 yards within the final 32 seconds of the 4th quarter put the Packers into the field goal range and an overall winning score of 30-28.

In Week 5 while standing against the Cincinnati Bengals, Adams had a career-high 206 yards with 11 receptions alongside one touchdown in the overall winning score, 25-22. In Week 11 while playing against the Minnesota Vikings, Adams had 7 passes for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns with a loss against the Vikings and an overall score of 31-34. Later in week 12 while playing against the Los Angeles Rams, Adams had 8 catches, 104 yards, and an overall winning score of 36-28.
In Week 13 against Chicago Bears, Adams had 10 passes for 121 yards, two touchdowns, and an overall score of 45-30 with a win in hand. On 23rd December 2021, Adams was honored with the title of fifth consecutive Pro Bowl. He broke his franchise-record the following week and rushed for 11 receptions, 136 yards, 1 touchdown, and a victory of over 37-10 over the Minnesota Vikings. Also, he broke the record of the Packers single-season and rushed for 1,553 yards in the season. Later, he was selected to the 2021 All-Pro Team for the second consecutive season.

Davante Adams is committed to his long-time girlfriend named Devanne Villarreal and they are a married couple now. In 2017, Adams proposed to Villarreal in the Bahamas. He created suspense by telling her that he wanted to bring her for a photoshoot. But he had a bigger plan in his mind. He created a most perfect, creative, heartfelt, and breathtaking proposal.
