Ms. Victoria Soto’s professional career began at Northwestern University where she worked for at least four years. She worked as an assistant professor and fellow at the Institute for policy research. Later, she became a fellow for policy research from 2007-2011. During her course time at Northwestern University, she devoted her position and time to the work of developing and teaching courses on American Politics with an emphasis on race and ethnic politics. She worked at the undergraduate and graduate levels while teaching American Politics with an enrollment of 200+ students. From 2011 to 2012, she worked in the position of Latino Decisions for the Director of Communications. Her work was associated with managing and promoting the firm’s brand. Also, she cultivated a relationship with new and traditional media outlets both in English and Spanish.
She helped the clients to introduce them to Latino Decisions. She participated in the data analyst designs and implementations. President Dr. Donald Bobbitt of the University of Arkansas system declared or announced on 7th September 2021 that they are willing to post Ms. Victoria DeFrancesco Soto for the position of dean at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service. Ms. Victoria was expected to be the next dean of the school after the existing dean Rutherford, who retired on June 30, 2021. Later, the recommendation was made around 16-17 September at the meeting of the UA Board of Trustees. She was expected to begin her new role as dean on Jan. 3, 2022. However, no further news has come forward regarding the same declaration of the position.
