Early Life
Aaron Wiggins was born on 2nd January 1999 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He is the son of Tim Wiggins and Serena Wiggins and spent his childhood with four other siblings named Shekinah, Joshua, Zacchaeus, and Imani. He was inclined to play basketball since childhood and was desperate about the particular game from a young age. Aaron Wiggins was brought up while playing basketball and football.

College Career
Wiggins started his freshman career as a starter but later affirmed to coach Mark Turgeon that he was comfortable coming off the bench. He started playing as a freshman for Maryland, where he played most of his minutes among his teammates’ reserves. Aaron helped the team earn the high season of 15 points while losing to Michigan and Michigan State. He completed the season while gaining an average of 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game. On 23rd February 2020, he was ranked with the season high ranking with 20 points while recording six three-pointers in a 79-79 loss to Ohio State.
As a sophomore, he has scored around 10.4 points with 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He was later named as Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year. In the final game of his junior season, he rushed for a career-high of 27 points with a 96-77 loss to Alabama in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. On 9th April 2021, he declared for the NBA draft of 2021 while maintaining college eligibility. He later decided to remain in the draft, leaving his college career aside.
Professional Career
Aaron Wiggins was picked 55th overall in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He quickly made an impression during the NBA Summer League, finishing second in team scoring with 11.2 points per game. On August 15, 2021, he signed a two-way contract with the Thunder. This allowed him to play for both the Thunder and their G League team, the Oklahoma City Blue. Wiggins made the most of his chances and had a breakout moment on December 26, 2021, when he scored a then-career-high 24 points against the New Orleans Pelicans.
He shot an efficient 8-of-10 from the field and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc in a 117–112 win. The Thunder rewarded his strong play by converting his two-way deal into a standard NBA contract on February 12, 2022. He continued to grow with the team and re-signed with the Thunder on July 7, 2024. On February 1, 2025, Wiggins delivered the best game of his career so far, scoring 41 points and grabbing 14 rebounds against the Sacramento Kings.
