Early Life
Elizabeth Debicki was born in Paris to a Polish father and an Australian mother. She was born on the 24th August 1990 in the city of Love Paris, France. Her parents were both ballet dancers and she has a younger brother and a sister, and she is the eldest of three children. Later on, when Elizabeth turned 5 the whole family moved to Glen Waverly in Melbourne, Australia. Just like her father and mother Elizabeth gained interest in ballet dancing at an early age and was trained for dancing although later on, she decided to switch to theatre. She graduated in 2007 from Hunting tower School in eastern Melbourne and she also achieved scores in Drama and English. Later on, she completed a degree in drama at the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of Arts in 2010.

Elizabeth was first time featured in an Australian film A Few Best Man in 2011 where she played the role of a secretary as Maureen. Director Baz Luhrmann watched her showreels and later Elizabeth was flown out to Los Angeles for his next movie The Great Gatsby in which she played the role of Jordan Baker. She also won an AACTA Award for her Best Actress. In 2013 she played the Madame role in Jean Genet’s play The Maid and she won the best newcomer award at the Sydney Theatre Awards. She also made a special appearance in the 3rd season of the Australian Series The Rake. Later on, in 2015, she played the villain role in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. In the same following year, she starred as Mona Sanders in the stage titled The Red Barn.
Widespread Fame
She played the lead role of Dr. Anna Macy in the Australian series The Kettering Incident. After completing her shoot of the series she flew to Switzerland to shoot for The Night Manager in which she played the role of Jed. After seeing her marvelous work in The Night Manager she was offered the role of Ayesha-the leader of the Sovereign people in the Marvel Studio’s film The Galaxy Vol.2 and is also expected to be seen in The Galaxy Vol.3. She also received an AACTA Award Nomination for the best actress supporting role as Eva in Simon Bacon’s debut Barth.
In 2018 Dibicki showcased her skills by portraying challenging roles which include, The Cloverfield Paradox in which she played the role of Jensen, HBO film The Tale in which she played the lead role as Mrs. G, Steve Mcqueen’s heist film Widows where she was portrayed as Alice and Vita & Virginia in which she played the role of Virginia. Later in 2019, she played a leading role in the thriller The Burnt Orange Hersey. She was seen in Christopher Nolan’s spy film Tenet
