Molly Hunter is an American journalist and news correspondent with NBC News based in London. She is an Emmy award-winning foreign correspondent and has previously worked with ABC News in Jerusalem and London. Early Life
Molly was born in 1972 and she is 50 years old as of now in 2023. She hasn’t revealed anything regarding her family members or so, hence her family remains out of the limelight. While Molly was attending Williams College, she was awarded a fellowship named Jeffery Owen Jones ’66 Journalism Fellow. She spent a year in Amman, Beirut, and Ramallah where she learned Arabic, interacted with Iraqi refugees, and also served as a freelance journalist. After that, she joined the staff of ABC News and worked her way up from desk assistant to assignment editor to foreign desk Editor. From 2015, Molly worked as a reporter and producer in Jerusalem and then left for London in 2017 where she became a London-based reporter.
While she was away, she also became a member of a non-profit organization known as Reclaim Childhood which empowers refugee girls and women through sports and games. Subsequently working with ABC for nearly 8 years, Molly then joined NBC News as a News Correspondent covering New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. In December 2019, Hunter was appointed as the foreign correspondent in London and since then she is working in this position to date.
During her time at ABC News, she covered various issues which varied from countries across the Middle East and Europe and traveled overseas trips by Presidents Obama and Donald Trump. Hunter is also the recipient of an Emmy Award for Outstanding Feature Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast for a Nightline project titled, Caught in the Crossfire, which followed ten Syrians inside war-torn Syria. Recently when the ‘Lost golden city of Luxor’ was discovered by archaeologists in Egypt, she reported live from the scene for In-Depth TODAY.
