Trey Gowdy was born on August 22, 1964, as Harold Watson “Trey” Gowdy III, to parents residing in Greenville, South Carolina. He is the son of Novalene (born Evans) and Dr. Harold Watson “Hal” Gowdy Jr., a physician. Gowdy grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina and was raised with a strong work ethic.
