Early Life
Nick Lodolo was raised in La Verne, California, and attended Damien High School, where he made a name for himself as an excellent pitcher. With a 1.97 ERA and 83 strikeouts over 65 innings, he ended his senior year with an 8–2 record and drew interest from MLB scouts.

In total, he started eight games on both teams, striking out 30 and allowing just eight runs in 18.1 innings, resulting in an ERA of 2.45.
