Early Life
Teagan Kavan was born on 5th February 2005, and she is 19 years old as of 2025. Growing up in West Des Moines, Iowa, Teagan Kavan was encouraged to play sports by her family. As soon as she came to Austin, Teagan Kavan made a big difference for the Longhorns softball team. During her freshman year in 2023–24, she has bagged many achievements and given standout performances. She helped the team win 23 games and recorded 135 strikeouts in total for the season.
One of the greatest moments was during the Women’s College World Series, where she recorded a complete-game shutout to become the first freshman ever at Texas to do so in her first WCWS game. Her play in that game and her whole postseason performance were recognized across the country.
Kavan received both the Big 12 Freshman of the Year award and a spot on the All-Big 12 Team for her freshman season. National publications Softball America and D1Softball included her on their Freshman All-American list, confirming that she is one of the best young pitchers in softball.
