Darrell Miklos was born on 19th February 1963, in the United States of America. He and his family relocated to Florida, where they met a fellow treasure hunter, Kip Wagner. He grew up in a family of treasure hunters with his father, Roger Miklos, an American treasure hunter who died in April 2018.
His father, Roger memorial service was held at the Key West United Methodist Church in Key West on 4th April 2018. Darrell Miklos’s siblings’ names are Laurie, Kelly, and Kim, and also has an aunt, Judy. He is a certified deep-sea diver, recognized by the NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors).
Career
Darrell Miklos is the co-founder of Gemini Marine Exploration, a historical Shipwreck Recovery company. He founded the company in November 2014. Also, Darrell Miklos is a member of the American Academy of Underwater Science. He gained popularity for the TV series documentary “Cooper’s Treasure” (2017-2018). The series airs on the Discovery Channel and revolves around the maps and anomalies discovered during Gordon Cooper’s space missions. News Nation also featured him.
Throughout his life, he has collected treasure coins and treasure coin jewelry pieces during his many adventures, finding and salvaging shipwreck sites. All his treasure collections are available on the Spanish Main Antiques website. While treasure hunting, he uses computer software and up-to-date weather reports to track storms.
