Candice Pierucci is an American personality and a well-established politician. Currently, she serves in the Utah House of Representatives position, representing District 49. When she was there for her tenure appointment, she was among the candidates and the youngest of all the Utah Legislature. Her full name is Darlene Candice Backus Pierucci.
Early Life
A native of Herriman, Utah Candice was born in 1993 but now lives in Riverton, Utah. She had her primary education at Riverton (Utah) High School in 2010. From 2010 to 2015, she attended Utah Valley University to receive a degree in political science and government with honors. From 2017 to 2019, she attended the University of Utah and pursued an M.A. in public administration.
Candice Pierucci Career
Candice Pierucci began her career working for the Utah House of Representatives, State Capitol as the legislative assistant from 2010 to 2011. After that, she interned at the Office of Senator Mike Lee for less than one year in 2011. During that time, she was responsible for answering the constituent phone calls regarding the Senator’s voting position on the legislation.
In 2012, she spent another few months working in the private sector. She held the position of sales representative at Preventive Pest Control. At that time, she was responsible for managing direct marketing based in Houston, Texas, and making door-to-door sales.
From September 2013 to 2014, she held the position of research assistant under professor Dr. Susan R. Madsen at Utah Valley University, Woodbury School of Business. For the next year and five months, she worked as an Intern in the department of recruiting assistant at Utah Valley University. For the next nine months, she interned as a coordinator for the university.
Politics
From January 2016 to March 2018, she worked as director of community relations at U.S. House of Representative Chris Stewart. She also worked for Sutherland Institute and held with two different positions events manager (for the first nine months) and then director of development (for one year and one month). In October 2019, she became the state representative while Teaching the American National Government side by side. She has been an adjunct professor at Utah Valley University since August 2022 and a state representative since October 2019.
