Elisabeth Hasselbeck is an American retired television actress and a talk show host. She is infamously known for her conservative views on socio-political issues. Apart from that, she is a businesswoman and writer/author.
Early Life
Elisabeth Hasselbeck was born on May 28, 1977, in Cranston, Rhode Island. Her father, Kenneth Filarski was an architect and her mother, Elizabeth DelPadre was a school teacher and lawyer. She also has a sibling, Kenneth Jr., who is a practicing attorney. Her ethnicity is half-Polish and half-Italian. She was raised as a Catholic and thus, her religion is Christianity. Elisabeth has been living with an immune-reactive disease called celiac disease. It has however not been confirmed how long it has been since she suffered from it.
Hasselbeck attended St.Mary School in Cranston. Following this, she also attended St.Mary Academy-Bay View in East Providence, where she graduated in 1995. Later on, she completed her university education (BFA with a concentration in large-scale painting and industrial design) at Boston College. In college, she was a captain of the women’s softball team for two seasons, winning consecutive Big East Championships.

While in college, Elisabeth started working for Puma in 1998 as a member of its design team. In 2001, she appeared on a reality show called ‘Survivor: The Australian Outback.’ The show turned her career path as now she was regarded as a suitable person for a talk show. First, she appeared as a judge in a beauty pageant and then as a host in ‘The Look for Less.’ Hasselbeck then went on to be the co-host of a talk show,’ The View’. This show brought her to the limelight because of her feisty nature and strong, unwavering political opinions.
Although she became a well-known personality due to her stringent views, the opinion of people towards her wasn’t that endearing. Hasselback and her co-hosts won a Daytime Emmy Award in August 2009 for Outstanding Talk Show Host. After this, she hosted another show on Fox News called ‘Fox & Friends.’ Apart from this, Hasselbeck has written three books. They are- The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide, Deliciously G-Free: Food So Flavorful They’ll Never believe It’s Gluten-Free, and Point of View- A Fresh Look at Work, Faith, and Freedom.
